An "entropic gap," is the "volume of chaos" between point A and point B, if you start at your house and you want to go 3,000 miles away to your family's home then the entropic gap is really wide. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a measure of distance, since point A can be your bed and point b can be the bathroom, and if you can't walk, then the entropic gap is wide.
